Autumn weekend break at Thornton ManorWednesday 7th October 2020
Thornton Manor is opening its doors…
Weekend break at the exclusive Thornton Manor
We are delighted to throw open the doors of our 19th century manor house for you to enjoy a fabulous weekend break at Thornton Manor. Our exclusive manor house accommodation is usually only reserved for our wedding couples and their guests; however we are delighted to be able to open up the house for members of the general public to book and experience our beautiful manor house for themselves.
Come and experience the former home of Lord Leverhulme, on arrival you will drive though our Gatehouse and enter through the front door of the house, where you will be greeted by our butler who will arrange for your luggage to be taken up to your bedroom. Your bedroom will display your own name on the door so you can feel like Lord or Lady of the manor.
Feel just like Lord or Lady of the manor for an evening.
Once you are all checked in to your bedroom, our team would be more than happy to give you a guided tour of Thornton Manor and tell you all about the history of this beautiful stately home. If you prefer to get outside and enjoy the crisp, cool air of Autumn we invite you to take a stroll in the Rose garden and grounds where you can wander around our private Dell and also experience our exclusive man-made lake where we can also arrange for you to go fishing.
There are also many local countryside walks and beaches in the area too if you prefer to venture out a little further we can provide maps and routes to follow, or why not visit the local village of Heswall with its many boutique shops, cafes and pubs.
Delicious food in magnificent surroundings
On your return head up to your bedroom and get ready for an evening of delicious, locally sourced food and fine wine. You will be served an exquisite three course meal by one of our fabulous caterers in our ornate Dining Room, decorated with fine antiques and a view of our Lime Tree walkway.
After dinner you could enjoy a nightcap in the French Room and relax in front of the roaring fire. After retiring to your bedroom fall into a sumptuous, kingsize bed for a night of blissful sleep. The following morning join us in the Dining Room again for a scrumptious Full English breakfast.
So much to see and do in the local area.
Before heading home, might we suggest a visit to Liverpool, historic Chester or Port Sunlight. We also have 6 local golf courses including Royal Liverpool & Hoylake, and Cheshire Oaks Shopping village all nearby.
This really is the most lavish way to spend a weekend away in the countryside on the border of Wirral and Cheshire!
