COVID Wedding Options
COVID-19 has altered our lives in so many ways but not being able to get married and celebrate with loved ones is simply heart-breaking and here at Thornton Manor we understand how upsetting 2020 has been for all of you. Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, our team have been working continuously to find resolutions for all of our couples whose weddings have been impacted by Covid-19. It has been a massive challenge for everyone, at a time of immense uncertainty. The ever-changing regulations and guidance have made life exceptionally problematic for weddings which need so much preparation and are such an important life event.

Options for weddings impacted by Covid-19:
We have set out the options we have made available below, however we reserve the right to review and amend these options at any time.
Following the government announcement on 22nd February 2021 and with the clear roadmap out of lockdown and this time including guidance on weddings, we are making these options available to all couples with a wedding date booked before the 19th July 2021. If the guidance should change again, we reserve the right to change the options available to you.
So that we can manage our bookings in a fair manner, we will aim to contact couples in date order. Please note that our support team are currently available from 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week.
Option A – Continue with your wedding date with guest number restrictions…
If your wedding is booked after the 29th March and you would like your wedding to go ahead, we will work with you to plan your day and ensure it is perfect for the number of guests the existing measures allow. Within 2020, we have successfully delivered weddings with capacity restrictions in place, whether it be 15, 30 or 50 people. We are certain that we can offer you an unforgettable event no matter how many guests can attend.
Your chosen venue is still exclusively yours for the day, so you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and experience this special day with your nearest & dearest. We will guide you through all your options, as well as what to expect on the day and also to consider how social distancing guidelines may affect your day. As previously mentioned, we have held a number of weddings in 2020 with reduced numbers, and you can be confident that we will do everything we can to make sure you have a spectacular day.

Option B – Delay your big day…
Postpone your whole wedding and transfer your booking to any available date up to 31st December 2022. Our team will check availability and find a new perfect date for you, and any venue or accommodation payments you have already made will be transferred to your new date, there will be no postponement fees for doing so. However, should a higher venue hire fee apply to your new chosen date, then the increase will be payable.
Option C – Don’t save the date yet…
We completely understand how uncertain things are currently and for many of you there are plenty of other worries in your life too. If you need a little longer to choose a new wedding date, we can offer you a credit note for the value of any venue payments already made. You will then have until 31st December 2021 to select your new wedding date on any available date until the end of 2022, as soon as you have decided on a new date to re-book for, get in touch with our team to confirm the availability of your chosen date and then your credit note will be applied to cover the venue hire fees for that date, as with option C should a higher venue hire fee apply to your new chosen date, then the increase will be payable.

If your wedding date falls beyond the 19th July 2021, we will contact you if any further updates become available. At this time, we can only plan for your wedding to take place as planned and your agreed terms and conditions therefore apply.
